Right, so here's the thing about barrel staves: they're rather marvellous. We've become utterly obsessed with repurposing oak from whiskey and wine barrels into lighting that actually looks rather good, which is saying something given how easily these things could go terribly wrong.
Each lamp tells a story, really. The pale European oak staves carry a gentle claret staining from red wine on the inner curve, while the whiskey varieties sport a dark, charred finish that speaks of bourbon's noble past. Splendid stuff, if we're being honest.
