A Few Words on Safety
Candles are marvellous at creating a peaceful atmosphere, though they do require a spot of common sense. Place away from flammable materials including curtains and furniture. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Use a proper candle holder to contain melted wax and catch falling embers. Trim wicks to quarter inch before lighting. Extinguish when leaving the room or retiring for the evening. Do not move a lit candle or use water to extinguish. Avoid burning multiple candles closely together as they generate excessive heat. For outdoor use, ensure placement in a sheltered area away from wind. Always exercise caution when lighting and extinguishing.
