Stella Soomlais began in Tallinn, Estonia in 2004, when designer Stella Runnel started making bespoke leather bags for customers with specific requests. What grew from those early commissions is now one of the most thoughtful leather goods brands in Europe — an award-winning studio that has spent two decades proving that a leather workshop can operate sustainably, and that a bag designed with integrity will outlast any trend by decades.

Every piece is made from ethically sourced vegetable-tanned leather and designed around circular principles: handles and pockets can be refreshed or replaced when worn; bags can be returned at the end of their life, restored, and re-loved. The range spans handbags, shoulder bags, crossbody bags, wallets, and accessories — all with the clean lines and quiet confidence of things made to be kept. The brand holds Gold level recognition in the Estonian Responsible Business Index and has won special awards for social entrepreneurship. This is not sustainable as a marketing position.
