Lentsius
Stainless Steel and Upcycled Jewellery from a Tartu Studio.
Lentsius is a small Estonian jewellery and fashion brand based in Tartu, founded and led by designer Kairi Lentsius — a fashion-design lecturer with a background in textile and fashion-design studies — working in collaboration with her father, the craftsman Mart Lentsius. The brand has been running for over eight years and operates on two clear editorial principles: sustainability and "less-is-more." Almost every piece is made from a single material to minimise waste and reduce processing steps; pieces are built around upcycled metal-industry and wood-industry offcuts (Kairi has also worked with surprising salvaged materials, including old army tents); and the design language is the strict-Scandinavian one — clean geometry, considered proportions, and the kind of quiet detail (a knot in a bracelet, a cufflink turned in wood) that distinguishes considered design from generic minimalism.
The range covers rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and cufflinks — designed for both women and men, since the geometric sensibility translates easily across both — with prices typically running from around €26 for smaller pieces to €223 for the larger statement designs. Materials are marine-grade hypoallergenic stainless steel as the workhorse (durable, easy to care for, no allergic reactions), often combined with upcycled wood for warmth and texture. Specific pieces include the Luna earrings, the Twins rings, the Plico ring, and the Versus dual-band ring (in polished half-matte finishes that catch light differently from each side). Beyond jewellery, the brand also produces conceptual fashion pieces and accepts custom orders for unique garments. Every item is handmade in Estonia, with free EU shipping on orders over €99.
