Lavender Hill Clothing was founded in 2013 by Isobel Ridley, whose career at Burberry gave her a precise and uncompromising view of what quality clothing should feel like — and a year travelling the world gave her an equally precise view of the damage that cheap, disposable fashion was doing to the planet. The two convictions combined into a single, clear idea: a British brand making simple, luxurious, affordable everyday essentials for women, using only sustainable and traceable materials, manufactured in certified factories where people are treated well.
The result is a collection built around the hardest-working pieces in any wardrobe — t-shirts, tops, loungewear, base layers, knitwear and accessories — made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, TENCEL, Scottish cashmere and other natural, biodegradable fibres, produced in England and Portugal.
