Sue Campbell is Australian by origin and London by adoption — a traveller and outdoor enthusiast who, while living in Hong Kong, spent weekends hiking and exploring. The turning point came when her husband returned from sailing a race across the Pacific Ocean reporting more plastic than fish. Sue left her corporate career and returned to London to build Kind2, starting from a single elegant premise: remove the water from liquid shampoo and you remove the need for plastic packaging. Remove the water, and you remove the stabilisers. Remove the water, and the formula can finally be as good as it deserves to be.

The UK's most awarded solid haircare brand

Founded in 2019, Kind2 is now the most awarded solid haircare brand in the UK. The bars are made in Britain using premium plant-based ingredients — palm oil free, sulphate free, pH balanced and vegan — certified Zero Plastic Inside by the Plastic Soup Foundation. Fulfilment is handled by Mailout, a social enterprise in North London providing employment and training for people with learning disabilities. Each full-size bar replaces two plastic bottles.
