Eva Oherjus is an Estonian milliner specialising in luxury hand-embroidered couture headpieces — bridal crowns, padded silk headbands, occasion pieces with veils and feathers — designed and made to order from her studio in Tartu. Eva trained in textile art at the prestigious Pallas Art School in Estonia, then discovered her passion for millinery in London in 2009 while practising fashion design, and has since taught herself the deeper craft through books, period costume study, and online training under award-winning international milliners. The proposition is the substantively useful one: that a properly considered headpiece — whether for a wedding, a christening, the races, or simply as a piece of editorial day-wear — is one of the few remaining accessory categories where genuine handwork still meaningfully separates the bespoke piece from the mass-produced one. Each Eva Oherjus headpiece takes many hours of concentrated hand-embroidery, and the brand's signature style sits at the elegant-meets-glamorous end of the millinery register.

Materials are properly considered throughout: Mulberry silk and dupioni silk (often sourced as end-rolls from haute couture fashion houses, which is where most of the world's best couture-grade silk ends up), genuine Swarovski crystals (alongside Aurora and Preciosa crystal varieties), Italian heavy-weight bridal silk, freshwater pearls, baroque pearls, and dazzling beadwork in golden or silver-tone metal settings. For padded crown-style headbands, Eva uses foam remnants from the furniture industry — a quietly clever bit of cross-industry sourcing that reduces waste without compromising the finish. Specific pieces include the Gerda Crown (Mulberry silk with mixed crystals), the Kate Headband (black Mulberry silk with baroque pearls and honeycomb veiling), the Grace Crown (ivory silk with freshwater pearls), and the Luna Crown (a bridal piece with a delicate veil hugging the face above the eyes). Each piece ships in a luxury hardcover hat box and is made to order with a roughly three-week production time. Eva also runs occasional workshops at her Tartu studio where customers can make their own headpiece over an evening of crafting, canapés, and bubbly.
