BZZWAX was founded in London by Felipe Gardelli and Luma Fachini — a Brazilian-born husband and wife who set out to make candles from a single honest ingredient. Every candle in the range is made from 100% pure organic beeswax, sourced from UK beekeepers, with a cotton wick and no paraffin, no soy, no synthetic fragrance and no additives of any kind. Beeswax burns cleaner and longer than most alternatives — two to three times longer than paraffin — and the scent it gives off is entirely its own: a quiet, natural composite of honey and flowers that comes from the wax rather than a fragrance bottle. For anyone with allergies or asthma, it is also hypoallergenic and non-toxic, which is not something most candles can claim without qualification.

The candles are made to order in small batches to ensure quality and reduce waste, and packaged without plastic. Every purchase supports the UK beekeepers behind the wax, and 1% of gross sales goes directly to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust — because a brand built around bees should probably do something useful for them. All shipments are carbon neutral. The range spans pillar candles, sculptural forms and sets, all carrying the same understated approach: well-made, long-burning, and designed for the kind of light that makes a room feel properly inhabited.
