Power Dressing at Home. Because Rest Deserves Better.

Mamu is named after the goddess of prophetic dreams in Mesopotamian mythology, and founded by Barbara Horspool — whose CV includes a decade as clothing director at The White Company, followed by senior roles at Jigsaw, New Look, Marks & Spencer and Esprit. That is to say, someone who knows precisely what makes clothing work, and who spent years searching for restwear that took the hours at home as seriously as the hours in the office. Not finding it, she built it herself.

The first Mamu collection launched in 2025 with fifty pieces designed around what Horspool calls "selfish luxury" — the conviction that getting dressed for an evening in deserves the same considered effort as getting dressed for an evening out. Cashmere, alpaca, modal, organic cotton, stretch silk and lacey camisoles — everything cut for comfort with a fundamental rule: no ties, no elastic, no buttons. Soft power, properly done.
