- Place away from flammable materials including curtains, furniture and other items
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
- Use a proper candle holder to contain melted wax and catch falling embers
- Extinguish when leaving the room or going to sleep
- Trim wicks to one quarter inch before lighting for slower, even burning
- Do not move a lit candle
- Never use water to extinguish
- Do not burn multiple candles close together as they create excessive heat
- For outdoor use, place in a sheltered area away from wind
- Always use caution when lighting and extinguishing
