The Hippy Clothing Co has been dressing free spirits since 1967. It started as a boutique in London during the swinging sixties, moved to Brighton's famous Lanes, became the city's favourite hippy shop for fifty years, and then — when the internet made it possible to reach people who'd never make it to Brighton — went entirely online. The people behind it haven't changed. The same commitment to colourful, characterful, ethically made clothing runs through everything they sell, just as it did when the shop first opened.

The range is genuinely broad: harem pants and flowing dresses, ponchos and kaftans, patchwork festival clothing, dungarees, embroidered tops, boho jewellery, bags, hats and homeware. Many pieces are unique to the brand, designed specifically for their customers and made by hand — often by makers in Nepal, with whom the brand has worked for many years. Much of the range is Fair Trade. All of it is the kind of thing you won't find on the high street, made for people who want their clothes to reflect a point of view rather than a trend.
