Nudea was founded in 2019 by Priya Downes after over a decade working in luxury fashion left her uninspired and unsupported by her underwear. The idea was straightforward but rather radical: elevated everyday basics that are as stylish and supportive as they are sustainable. B Corp certified since 2022, twice winner of the Marie Claire Sustainable Underwear Brand of the Year award, and finalist in the Drapers Sustainability Awards — Nudea has built a genuinely impressive track record in a short amount of time.
The collection spans bras, briefs, bralettes, loungewear and sleepwear crafted from GOTS certified organic cotton, Tencel, recycled microfibre and 1920s Art Deco-inspired recycled lace — with 90% of materials now coming from natural or recycled sources. Every piece comes with a free laundry bag to extend its lifespan, packaging is fully recycled and recyclable, and a bra recycling programme with TerraCycle means your old bras get a second life rather than going to landfill. This is a brand that buys less and buys better, and means every word of it.
