Ralphie Bear was founded by Lydia during maternity leave with her son Ralph — which is where the name comes from, and where the frustration started too. The changing mats Lydia could find were perfectly functional but entirely uninspiring. None of them complemented a carefully considered nursery. So, with a background in art and design and a clear idea of what was missing, she made her own. Ralphie Bear launched in April 2020 — a team of mums working together to create baby products that take both practicality and aesthetics seriously.

Every design is hand-drawn and unique to the brand, produced in neutral, unisex palettes that work in any nursery scheme. All changing mats are manufactured in the UK using non-toxic, phthalate-free PVC with nursery-grade foam, and textiles are crafted from GOTS-certified organic cotton — soft, safe and genuinely sustainable.
