Lucas Ruth is, rather charmingly, not named after a person. It's the combined middle names of Adam and Vicky Haycock — a couple based in Walsall, England, who handcraft leather goods from their workshop using traditional techniques and UK-sourced pull-up leather, hand-selected hide by hide for character and quality. The name, the leather, and the making are all entirely their own. Lucas Ruth was founded on a belief that creativity deserves a beautiful home — that the journal you write in, the wallet you carry, the keyring that jangles quietly in your pocket, should be things that are genuinely worth having. Journals come in a range of sizes and colourways, with heat-stamped personalisation, three edge finishes, and thread-bound pages of 120gsm Fedrigoni paper. The packaging is plastic-free; the cardboard shredded by hand for padding. They've thought about all of it.
